HAPPITAT ADVENTURE PARK

Set within natural bushland north of Brisbane, Happitat Adventure Park is an elevated ropes and zipline experience designed to immerse visitors in the surrounding forest. Platforms, walkways and aerial courses sit high within the canopy, creating a physically engaging environment that connects people directly with the landscape.

During development, sections of the site required selective clearing. Rather than removing the timber, it was repurposed across the park into benches, tables and informal seating. Retaining the natural character of the wood, these elements form part of the visitor experience while reducing waste.

CUTEK® Extreme was used to protect this reclaimed timber, enhancing the natural grain while providing long-term resistance to moisture and weathering. On the main building, structural timber elements were finished with CUTEK® Extreme with Colourtone Black Ash, delivering a deep charcoal tone that references the surrounding Australian bush and its resilience.

The result is a project that balances adventure with thoughtful material use, where timber remains both a structural and storytelling element throughout the site.
